The Heart of a True Leader

By definition, a “leader” is simply “one who goes first.” Of course, he must have at least one person following him, or he is just a “go-er.” A genuine Christian leader is not one who lords it over others, but who is a helper of their joy. One way he does that is by being real, that is, authentic, with those he serves, setting an example of intimacy with Jesus Christ as the source of his own strength. The Body of Christ desperately needs godly leaders, and from 2 Corinthians 1, 2 Timothy 2, and Isaiah 58, John Lynn sets forth many magnificent principles of true Christian leadership.
