We believe that every Christian has a duty and responsibility to participate in the political process by voting, specifically for leaders who uphold Christian values. Scripture instructs us to pray for those in authority (1 Timothy 2:1-4). However, the Bible also reveals instances where God disapproved of Israel’s leadership choices (Hosea 8:4), demonstrating the potential consequences of poor leadership.

The pervasive influence of sin is evident in the world, with much suffering stemming from godless leadership (Proverbs 28:12). While Scripture calls for obedience to legitimate authorities (Romans 13:1-7), this obedience is not absolute and must never contradict God’s commands (Acts 5:27-29). As believers, we should aspire to elect leaders who acknowledge and are guided by our Creator (1 Samuel 12:13-25).

Therefore, we should not endorse candidates or proposals that violate biblical principles regarding life, family, marriage, or faith (Proverbs 14:34). Instead, Christians should make informed voting decisions in light of God’s Word, prayer, and a careful evaluation of choices on the ballot.

While we may never find certainty in the works of men, we can find it in God. Scripture reassures us repeatedly that God is faithful, steadfast, and true. Unlike the shifting sands of human promises, He never changes — “He does not change like shifting shadows” (James 1:17). He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. The same God who parted seas, delivered His people from slavery, defeated impossible enemies, overcame plagues, ended exile, and even conquered death is still with us today. His power to rescue and protect hasn’t faded.

Yet, in this world, we face forces that try to convince us otherwise. There are doubters, detractors, and the whisper of the enemy, always seeking to plant seeds of uncertainty. The same question that was posed in the Garden of Eden — “Did God really say?” — echoes in our hearts today. But let me reassure you, that’s not the truth. The truth is that God is for us, not against us. His love is steadfast, unfailing, and eternal. Every single day of our lives, in every moment of uncertainty, we can stand firm in the knowledge that His love endures forever. And nothing—absolutely nothing—can separate us from it. His promise holds, now and forever, without the slightest hint of wavering.

In a culture that is characterized by constant flux and unpredictability, it can be unsettling to rely on human leadership. Politicians, societal figures, and even those closest to us are susceptible to error, wavering convictions, and shifts in opinion, much like the wind constantly changing direction. This can leave us feeling vulnerable and uncertain about the future.

However, amidst this human frailty, there exists a source of unwavering comfort and stability: our trust in God. That’s the comfort we can cling to, especially in times when human leaders, with all their flaws and fallibilities, seem to shift like the wind. Our true leader, the Creator of the heavens and the earth, is fundamentally different. He is unchanging in His nature, His love, and His promises. He is faithful, never abandoning those who trust in Him. And most importantly, He is eternally “for us,” having a perfect and unwavering love for each of us.

In embracing this understanding, we discover a foundation that is unyielding and unshakeable. Our God is unchanging, faithful, and always for us. This truth provides a bedrock of stability upon which we can build our lives, our hopes, and our future. No matter the storms that rage around us, no matter how the world may change and transform, this foundation will never fail. Economic downturns, societal upheaval, and personal tragedies may come and go, but our connection to God, our reliance on His unchanging nature, remains constant.

In God, we find refuge, solace, and an enduring hope that transcends the temporary and fleeting nature of human existence. In Him, we have a foundation that will never fail, no matter how the world around us may change. This unshakeable truth allows us to face the uncertainties of life with courage, knowing that our true leader is always with us, guiding and protecting us through every challenge and every triumph.
