Rich Robson taught on addressing low self-esteem by removing the “self” from self-esteem and returning to what God says. Rather than seeking validation through behavior or the opinions of others, he emphasized that believers are justified by God through Jesus Christ. True righteousness is not earned through performance; it is given by grace.
Building on 1 Corinthians 4:3–4, Rich explained that the only verdict that ultimately matters is God’s. The tendency to measure ourselves—either by our own standards or by the judgments of others—keeps the focus misplaced. Scripture redirects that focus away from self-evaluation and toward God’s declaration. Drawing from passages in Romans and 2 Corinthians, he showed that confidence and identity are grounded in what God has already established, not in how we assess ourselves.
