Figures of speech are not a copout when someone can’t explain something, as in: “That’s just a figure of speech.” No, Figures of speech are legitimate grammatical constructions integral to every developed language, and which enhance communication by emphasizing key points. How to recognize a figure? IT IS NOT LITERALLY TRUE TO FACT.
