Throughout Scripture, God calls people to Himself and gives them purpose. Abraham, Moses, David, and the apostles were all called. But was that kind of calling limited to a select few in biblical history? Not at all. Believers today are called as well. We are called out of darkness and into God’s light, called into fellowship with His Son, and called to live in a way that reflects the One who called us.
In this teaching, we will explore what it means to be called and chosen by God and what that calling is intended to produce in our lives. As we respond in faith and obedience, our lives can bear lasting fruit. At the heart of that fruit is love—love for God, love for others, and even love for our enemies. This kind of sacrificial love does not earn salvation; rather, it is one of the clearest expressions of a life being transformed by Christ.
