The battle started before Adam and Eve showed up. The “purpose of the ages” finds its fulfillment in the “…new heavens and new earth…” of 2 Peter 3: 13—Paradise regained, and much more. God is also coming back, not just Jesus. Man’s “walk in the garden relationship” that was lost will be reestablished.
