The God of the Bible is not hiding from humanity. He isn’t a riddle to be solved or a puzzle to be mastered in order to fix life’s problems. God is living, relational, and purposeful. He created people, understands what it means to be personal, and relates to humanity with intention and care. According to Jesus, God’s nature toward us is that of a Father — not distant, not abstract, but actively engaged in relationship.
God is not something humanity imagined into existence — He is the One who reveals Himself and invites relationship. He is real, responsive, and present. Scripture reveals that He expresses joy and sorrow, shows compassion, experiences grief, and takes delight in His children. He knows us fully and invites genuine relationship built on truth, trust, and openness.
From the beginning, God has been pursuing a healthy relationship with humanity. Yet too often that relationship is hindered by a lack of honesty. We hide, we rationalize, we deceive ourselves and sometimes one another — and in doing so, we limit the freedom, clarity, and joy God desires for us to experience.
