Diligence to the Very End
Living as a Christian is like running a marathon. You must keep your mind focused on the finish line, realizing that you will get there if you live in the moment and take one step at a time. The Lord Jesus is eager to give praise, honor, and glory to those who faithfully stand for him and keep their hearts honest before him. YOU can be among them. [06/15/2010 9:54] |
Do Ask, Do Tell
"Don't ask; don't tell" is not how God encourages us to live. He loves it when we ASK Him about anything, for that is how we learn. And He says that when we ask with the desire to know, we get answers. Then He encourages us to TELL everyone we can what He and the Lord Jesus have done for us and what they will do for others. Don't All Good People Go To Heaven?
Actually, all good people HAVE gone to heaven, but only one person is in that group. That would be JESUS CHRIST, the only man to live a sinless life, die as the payment for all men's sins, and be raised to new life by his Father, God. The rest of us, sin-laden descendants of Adam, are described in Romans 3 as "none good, no, not one." That is why God has made available salvation by GRACE through faith in the work of Jesus Christ. And Paradise, not heaven, is our destination. [07/06/2010 10:14] |
Dressed for the Occasion
Who made the first clothing in human history? Adam and Eve. Why, and why did God think it sartorially tasteless, such that He gave them a new wardrobe? What are Christians today supposed to put on? And how will the Lord Jesus clothe us at his appearing? [06/07/2010 9:52] |
Entrusted with the Gospel
Did you know that it is possible to teach the truth of God's Word and do so for the wrong motives? If God had to choose, He'd rather have a sleazeball teaching truth than an upright man teaching error about His Word? Why? Because all the hearers could benefit from the former, but not the latter. Of course what God really wants is for an upright man to teach truth. The two sections from Philippians and Thessalonians covered in this teaching are inspiring. [06/15/2010 10:07] |
Ephesians - Breakfast of Champions
Do you know that Paul's letter (it's not really a "book"--only 153 verses) to the Ephesians is the greatest revelation in the entire Bible? Do you know why that is true? To find out a little about it, hit the Start Arrow. [07/03/2010 10:26] |
Ever Heard Anything About God That Makes Sense?
Too much of what passes today as "Christian" doctrine, i.e., "The Bible says...", makes no sense. When an inquiring mind points that out, the answer too often is, "Take it on faith." Whoa! Biblically defined, "faith" is not superstition, i.e., believing nonsense, but is rational trust in an intelligible promise. And GOD is THE GOD of PROMISE. [07/06/2010 10:06] |
Everything You Need For Life
There are some things about God not found in the Bible, BUT there is NOTHING we need that is NOT FOUND there. God has given each human being "exceeding great and precious PROMISES" that are "yours for the believing." How many do you know? [05/31/2010 10:03] |
Faithful Men Who Will Teach Others - TLTF Ordinations
On Saturday night, July 27th, 2013, for the first time since TLTF began in 2010, we ordained some brethren to Christian ministry: Franco Bottley, Ricardo Contreras, Paul Knopf, Bob Maffit, Jon Touchstone, Bob Wassung, and Robert Witt. During the prayer and prophecy over them, we invited anyone from the audience who had a word from the Lord to come forward and share it. John Lynn's teaching beforehand was titled, Faithful Men Who Will Teach Others, in which he taught that biblically to ordain someone is to recognize his sustained service to the Body. If you appreciate our ministry, this teaching is well worth your time to hear. You can also use the chapter markers to jump to a certain section of the service. [07-27-2013 02:34:05] |
Fire Is Not a Preservative
Do you know that most Christians believe that Adolph Hitler has everlasting life? How did "hell" become such a popular term, and what the hell is it? By the way, you can go there, and it does freeze over. What does the Bible really say about the destiny of the wicked? [06/13/2010 10:02] |
Four Crucified With Christ Part 1 of 2
If there were only two others crucified with Christ, as most all paintings throughout history have depicted, the Gospel accounts significantly contradict one another, and the Bible is nothing more than a collection of stories that may or may not be true. This teaching is an excellent barometer to measure one's attitude toward the Word of God. [07/09/2010 10:01] |

Gathering Together in Christ
John Lynn closed the weekend event, "Gathering Together in Christ," with a teaching titled, Gathering Together in Christ. Where he exposited the context of each of the only two uses in Scripture of the Greek word translated "gathering together" (2 Thess. 2:1 and Hebrews 10:25) and showed that we can have genuine, heart-to-heart fellowship now that will in some small way approximate what it will be like when the Lord gathers us together. Get A Life - Part 1 of 3
"Get a life" is God's basic message to every human being who is born. Huh? Doesn't their birth give them life? Only temporarily, and usually with eventually diminishing quality. See why the Bible can be summed up in 4.8 seconds as: "the story of two men--the first guy wrecked everything, the second guy is fixing it." [06/06/2010 10:04] |

Giving In Response to a Blessing
Most people know that it takes money to run a ministry that spreads the Gospel, and it is easy to give when you give in response to what a man or a ministry does that truly touches your life. God does not tell Christians how much to give because He is desires RELATIONSHIP, and wants us to work with Him in deciding what to give to whom. Then it is easy to be a cheerful giver, and watch God multiply it back to you. [06/13/2010 10:08] |
God Hates Religion
Did you know that "religion" is all about man, not God? Sure, man is the subject and God is the object of his strivings to please the God he has made up. Christianity is the exact opposite: God is the SUBJECT (hint: He was here first) and man is the object of HIs devotion and love. For an object lesson, click the Start Arrow. [07/06/2010 10:14] |
God Made Me Do It?
Have you ever wondered why God allows bad things to happen to you? Have you ever wondered why you would think that He is allowing them? How do you feel when people tell lies about you that make you look bad? [03/17/2011 13:03] |
God, God, God
The first chapter of Genesis reveals many characteristics of the One True God, including the fact that He was here first! He is COLORFUL, LAVISH, WILD, SPECTACULAR, INFINITELY DIVERSIFIED--and GOOD! [06/13/2010 6:40] |
