The Recipe for Godly Character
The Food Network is very popular these days, but it has nothing on God, who, by the way, invented all the ingredients in real food. In His Word, our heavenly Father gives us a recipe for our lives that, if we follow, will result in His considering us as "Well done." This is a tasty teaching. [11/10/2010 14:18] |
The Three Responses to Truth, Part 1 of 2
Acts 17 is an exciting account that is pregnant with spiritual principles, chief among which is the three categories into which people divide themselves when the truth of God of set before them. Hint: you want to be in Group Three. [06/12/2010 10:06] |

The War on Error
The definition of “error” is “a deviation from truth.” To “deviate” is to go off a path, even if ever so slightly. Using the example of travel, if one errs in following the right roads, he ends up in the wrong place, a place he didn’t intend to go. From his first “salvo” in his war on Truth (Gen. 3:1), Satan has done his best to distort God’s communication to man and to divert people from His directions for them. Why? Because he doesn’t want you to end up where God wants you to be. The WRITTEN WORD OF GOD is his primary target, and he has infiltrated Christianity with a myriad of doctrinal errors. [21:09] |
Throwing Mud in the Devil's Face
When Jesus encountered a man born blind (John 9), his disciples asked him why that had happened. In essence, Jesus told them that they were asking the wrong question. He then proceeded to show them that the right question was: "What are we going to do about it?" And he then HEALED the blind man. Never did Jesus say that any such situation was a part of God's master plan. Rather, he revolted against the Devil's status quo and rectified every situation he could. [20:16] |
Tit for Tat, It Ain't All That
Wikipedia define this English saying as meaning "equivalent retaliation". In life and relationships with others we often use Tit for Tat as our defense mechanism in dealing with others. We often react to being hurt with anger and we hurt back, verbally and sometimes physically. [02/10/2011 15:00] |

Truth in the Inner Parts, Part 1 of 3
Christianity is about internalizing external truth so that we are transformed from the inside out. Of course, the choice is yours, and it is choice that must be made moment by moment so as to stay one step ahead of "the sin that dwells in us." This three-part series is extremely practical. CAUTION: don't listen to it if you do not want to get honest with the Lord Jesus. [06/14/2010 9:56] |

Use Your Unction for Your Function
Jesus Christ has fully equipped each member of his Body with the power and ability to be like him and do what he did. But how do you know what your function is in the Church? Thank God that the National Football League has provided an answer to that question. [06/15/2010 10:01] |

Well, Well, Well, It's JESUS!
Jesus Christ always disregarded convention in order to bring deliverance to people. John 4 is a classic account of how he worked with people one at a time, and he will do the same for you. It also shows the impact you can make on others when you lead them to Jesus. [21:09] |
What Are Angels and What Are They Doing?
It is very comforting to know that although we are daily targets in a spiritual war zone, there are twice as many good angels trying to help us as there are evil angels trying to harm us. The Bible has about 50 accounts of angels (not angles) intervening on behalf of people for their benefit. [06/05/2010 10:18] |
What Did Jesus Know and When Did He Know It?
If the Bible is what it claims to be, it CANNOT CONTRADICT ITSELF. How then do we understand Jesus' statement to those listening to him one day that some of them would not die before he came back to the earth to set up his kingdom? [06/13/2010 9:53] |
What Else Will Distinguish Us?
God could have made it so that when one becomes a Christian, he turns PLAID. We could easily spot one another, but we couldn't sneak up on anyone to share the Gospel with them. Two superb sections of Scripture point us to how we can be "distinguished" as Christians, for the benefit of those in our world. [06/12/2010 10:15] |
What Have You Got To Lose?
If the indescribable intricacy, precision, magnitude, and splendor of Creation does not at least make you think there just might be a DESIGNER behind it, i.e., God, you need to get a grip--on reality. And if there is any possibility that there is a God, and that your everlasting destiny may be related to whether or not you believe in and obey Him, you have everything to win and nothing to lose by so doing. At least that's what Blaise Pascal said. Who? [07/06/2010 10:21] |
What is Interpretation of Tongues
In this beginning-to-end exposition of 1 Corinthians 14, John Lynn sets forth great truth regarding the manifestations of speaking in tongues, interpretation of tongues, and prophecy. The manifestation of interpretation of tongues is just what it says it is: the meaning of what was spoken in tongues in a gathering of believers. [54:19] |
What Is True Friendship?
Who is your best friend? A TRUE FRIEND is a treasure beyond description. Christianity is "a team sport," and the deeper our friendships with our brethren in Christ, the more effectually we will carry out our mission as the Church. Scripture has some FABULOUS truth about how true friends relate to one another for mutual benefit. [06/06/2010 10:01] |
What is Truth?
In the Bible, God gives us a two-fold answer to the question, "What is truth?" That answer is both doctrinal and practical, propositional and relational. Jesus Christ perfectly embodied truth because he both learned the Word and God and lived it--flawlessly. [05/31/2010 10:02] |
